Because for the past three years or so I was too afraid to leave comments and I still am, but I’ve gotten better at it so when I really like something I just comment < 3 Are fanfic writers really okay with, “OMFG I LOVED EVERYTHING EVERY MOMENT EVERY WORD I LOVE YOU FEEL MY LOVE AND AFFECTION FOR YOUR CREATION YOU BEAUTIFUL DYING MORTAL.”? I need answers.

Listen to me. Fanfic writers love that shit. The idea that someone liked what u created to the point of incoherence is extremely validating. Also, I have literally left (what I thought was) incoherent walls of text & had writers tell me “I was putting off updating this but then I saw your comment and remembered how excited I was to write this”

tldr u don’t have to be coherent to express excitement & all writers want is to know someone out there is excited about their work

Honestly you can just leave some emoji hearts if you can’t even manage words - it shows that you at least wanted to give positive feedback!
